We're going boom again!

In collaboration with the Bloeiend Zijpe Foundation, we organize unique rides through the blooming flower fields. We look forward to welcoming you again.

De Boemel will be running in 2024 Saturday April 6 up to and including Sunday May 5. Every year millions of tulips shine here, through which we can drive thanks to the cooperation of many bulb farmers. During the ride, a Dutch-speaking guide will tell you everything about the area and the paradisiacal flower fields.

Here are the departure times of the bus. The coffee and tea are ready half an hour in advance!

General information

• The boom starts and ends at Land van Fluwel; Belkmerweg 65 Sint Maartenszee
• From half an hour before departure you are welcome at Land van Fluwel for a free cup of coffee or tea with a cookie
• The ride takes about 45 minutes, including a stop at the Fluwel tulip test field. There is plenty of time here to take photos among the tulips
• The costs are €15.00 per person (regular and wheelchair ticket) and you can pay directly online
• The boat has a total of 28 seats
• If you would like to rent the van on a different day/time, this is possible from 20 people. The shuttle runs at 11 a.m. on the blue days in the calendar, but can also be booked for a group of more than 20 people at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.
• The boom is comfortable and covered. The rides will continue even in bad weather
• A maximum of 4 wheelchairs can be taken per trip. Please indicate this when making your reservation
• Dogs are not allowed in the bag

Catering

When making your reservation you can indicate whether you would like to enjoy the catering options that we offer. Here are the options you can choose:

• Apple pie with coffee at €3.75 each
• Pancake lunch with a choice of a plain pancake, apple or bacon with jugs of coffee, tea and milk on the table for €10 pp (can be booked from 10 people)
• Sandwich lunch with soup of the day, small sandwiches with ham, brie, tuna salad and jugs of coffee, tea and milk on the table for €15 pp (can be booked from 10 people)
• Reserve a table for lunch from the menu, before or after the slow ride. Costs on subsequent calculation (can be booked for up to 10 people)

How many places does Bloembollen Boemel have?

De Boemel has 28 regular places/chairs. There is a rail system so that the chairs can also be removed. One wheelchair can be secured instead of two regular chairs. A maximum of 4 wheelchairs can be taken per ride. Please indicate when making your reservation if you want a wheelchair ticket, the costs remain the same.

How is boarding going?

The Boemel has a nice, wide ramp (not steep) on which participants can walk with walkers. Wheelchairs can easily be pushed up on this ramp.

Large groups

Would you like to book with a large group (for example a coach with approximately 50 people)? Then the Boemel will run twice in a row. In between, a lunch can be provided at Land van Fluwel.
