We're going boom again!

In collaboration with the Bloeiend Zijpe Foundation, we organize unique rides through the blooming flower fields. We look forward to welcoming you again.

The Boemel will be running from 2025 saturday april 5 up to and including sunday may 4th. Every year millions of tulips shine here, through which we can drive thanks to the cooperation of many bulb farmers. During the ride, a Dutch-speaking guide will tell you everything about the area and the paradisiacal flower fields.

General information

• The boom starts and ends at Land van Fluwel; Belkmerweg 65 Sint Maartenszee
• From half an hour before departure you are welcome at Land van Fluwel for a free cup of coffee or tea with a cookie
• The ride takes about 45 minutes, including a stop at the Fluwel tulip test field. There is plenty of time here to take photos among the tulips
• The costs are €16.50 per person (regular and wheelchair ticket) and you can pay directly online.
• The boat has a total of 28 seats
• If you would like to rent the van on a different day/time, this is possible from 20 people. The shuttle runs at 11 a.m. on the blue days in the calendar, but can also be booked for a group of more than 20 people at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.
• The boom is comfortable and covered. The rides will continue even in bad weather
• A maximum of 4 wheelchairs can be taken per trip. Please indicate this when making your reservation
• Dogs are not allowed in the bag

Catering

When making your reservation you can indicate whether you would like to enjoy the catering options that we offer. Here are the options you can choose:

• Apple pie with coffee at €3.95 each
• Pancake lunch with a choice of plain, apple, cheese or bacon pancakes with jugs of coffee, tea and milk on the table for €10.50 pp (bookable for 10 people or more)
• Sandwich lunch with soup of the day, small sandwiches with ham, cheese, tuna salad and jugs of coffee, tea and milk on the table at €15.50 pp (bookable for 10 people or more)
• Reserve a table for lunch from the menu, before or after the slow ride. Costs on subsequent calculation (can be booked for up to 10 people)

How many places does Bloembollen Boemel have?

De Boemel has 28 regular places/chairs. There is a rail system so that the chairs can also be removed. One wheelchair can be secured instead of two regular chairs. A maximum of 4 wheelchairs can be taken per ride. Please indicate when making your reservation if you want a wheelchair ticket, the costs remain the same.

How is boarding going?

The Boemel has a nice, wide ramp (not steep) on which participants can walk with walkers. Wheelchairs can easily be pushed up on this ramp.

Large groups

Would you like to book with a large group (for example a coach with about 50 people)? Then the Boemel will drive twice in a row. In between, a lunch can be provided at Land van Fluwel. If you want to book this, send an email to booking@landvanfluwel.nl or call 0224-562555 during office hours
