We're going boom again!

In collaboration with the Bloeiend Zijpe Foundation, we organize unique rides through the blooming flower fields. We look forward to welcoming you again.

The local train will run from 2026 Tuesday, April 7 up to and including Sunday, May 3. Every year millions of tulips shine here, through which we can drive thanks to the cooperation of many bulb farmers. During the ride, a Dutch-speaking guide will tell you everything about the area and the paradisiacal flower fields.

Here are the departure times of the bus. The coffee and tea are ready half an hour in advance!

General information

• The boom starts and ends at Land van Fluwel; Belkmerweg 65 Sint Maartenszee
• From half an hour before departure you are welcome at Land van Fluwel for a free cup of coffee or tea with a cookie
• The ride takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes, including a stop at the Fluwel show garden. There is ample time to take photos among the tulips.
• The costs are €17.00 per person (regular and wheelchair ticket) and you can pay directly online.
• The boat has a total of 28 seats
• The local bus runs on the green days in the calendar at 11:00 AM, 1:00 PM, and 3:00 PM. On the blue days, the local bus runs at 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM, and the 3:00 PM local bus can only be booked for groups of 20 or more.
• The boom is comfortable and covered. The rides will continue even in bad weather
• A maximum of 4 wheelchairs can be taken per trip. Please indicate this when making your reservation
• Dogs are not allowed in the bag
• For children the boemel is a long ride, we recommend going to the adventure paradise with children and visiting the Fluwel show garden before or after

Catering

When making your reservation you can indicate whether you would like to enjoy the catering options that we offer. Here are the options you can choose:

• Apple pie with whipped cream with coffee at €4.75 each
• Pancake lunch with a choice of plain, apple, cheese or bacon pancakes with jugs of coffee, tea and milk on the table for €11.50 per person (bookable for 10 people or more)
• Sandwich lunch with soup of the day, small sandwiches with ham, cheese, tuna salad and jugs of coffee, tea and milk on the table for €16.50 pp (bookable for 10 people or more)
• Reserve a table for lunch from the menu, before or after the slow ride. Costs on subsequent calculation (can be booked for up to 10 people)

How many places does the Bloembollenboemel have?

The local train has 28 regular seats. There's a rail system so the seats can also be removed. One wheelchair can be secured in the space of two regular seats. A maximum of four wheelchairs can be taken per ride. Please indicate when booking if you require a wheelchair ticket; the cost remains the same.

How is boarding going?

The boemel has a nice, wide ramp (not steep) that allows participants with walkers to walk up. Wheelchairs can easily be pushed up this ramp.

Large groups

Would you like to book for a large group (for example, a coach with about 50 people)? The local tour will run twice in succession. Lunch can be provided at Land van Fluwel during this time.
